-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"query": "open source vector databases", "model": "deepseek/search", "max_results": 10}'What a request costs

Use it with a fallback
Put deepseek/search first and a model from another provider after it. If DeepSeek errors or times out, Mux refunds the attempt and tries the next one. You pay for the model that answered.
const res = await mux.search({
query: "open source vector databases",
models: ["deepseek/search","parallel/turbo"], // tried in order
});
console.log(res.model, res.attempts);How DeepSeek behaves through Mux

DeepSeek search FAQ
How much does deepseek/search cost per search?
$0.0008 per request with up to 10 results ($0.75 per 1,000 requests). The price does not change with the number of results. Failed calls are refunded.
Is there a markup on DeepSeek's price?
No. Mux passes through DeepSeek's list price per request. The only fee is 5.5% (minimum $0.80) when you buy credits, or 5% of list price after 1,000,000 monthly requests when you bring your own DeepSeek key.
Can I use my own DeepSeek API key?
Yes. Store it with a management key and requests to deepseek/search are made with your key and billed by DeepSeek directly. The first 1,000,000 such requests a month carry no Mux fee.
What happens if DeepSeek is down?
If you pinned deepseek/search the request fails and you are refunded. If you passed a models list, Mux refunds the failed attempt and tries the next model in your list, so your agent still gets an answer.
