About Mux
Mux is one web search API for AI agents. A single key and a single prepaid balance give you Exa, Parallel, Keenable and DeepSeek search through one request format, with automatic fallbacks between providers, spend limits per key and the providers’ own list prices.
Who builds it
Mux is built and run by , who also writes the documentation, the guides and the comparisons on this site. Articles are reviewed against the providers’ public pricing pages on the date shown at the top of each one, and corrections are welcome at support@getmux.io.
An independent service
Mux is not affiliated with Exa, Parallel, Keenable or DeepSeek. Their names and logos are trademarks of their owners and appear here only to identify which provider answers a request. Mux passes each provider’s list price through unchanged and earns a fee when you buy credits, or a small percentage when you bring your own provider key at very high volume. The full rules are on the pricing page.
What Mux is not
- Not a search engine. Mux has no index of its own and returns what the provider you chose returned, normalized to one shape.
- Not a reseller with its own price list. Prices come live from the providers and are shown per request on the models page.
- Not a crawler or an extraction service. Mux does not offer crawl or extract endpoints; see the Tavily alternatives comparison for providers that do.
